The development of this apparatus began in 2016 when I had the idea of attaching a rope (a very common apparatus in circus) to the stage. The idea was to use modern automation technology to continuously change the tension of the rope resulting in an apparatus that not only changed properties within the act but also speed, velocity, and acrobatic potential.
In 2019 I won a grant from Cirque du Soleil's C:LAB and completed the proof of concept which ultimately propelled me into acrobatic design. Scroll down to see the evolution of the apparatus, videos chronologically placed from newest to oldest.
